BBC NEWS; Facebook ‘violates privacy laws’

The Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic has listed 22 separate breaches of privacy law in its country.

Clinic Director Phillipa Lawson told the BBC that, with over 7 million users in Canada, “Facebook needs to be held publicly accountable”.

Facebook rejects the charge, claiming some of the highest standards around.

The basis of the complaint, filed with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, states that Facebook collects sensitive information about its users and shares it without their permission.

Woman Wakes Up After Family Says Goodbye

This story is a few days old I had read it earlier but had not blogged about it, this is nothing short of a miracle and should be looked at as such, no medical explanation could explain why a persons heart stops about 17 hours and then they wake up talking.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A West Virginia woman is at the Cleveland Clinic after walking the line between life and death.

Doctors are calling Val Thomas a medical miracle. They said they can’t explain how she is alive. They said Thomas suffered two heart attacks and had no brain waves for more than 17 hours. At about 1:30 a.m. Saturday, her heart stopped and she had no pulse. A respiratory machine kept her breathing and rigor mortis had set in, doctors said.

Sage-Too :: Firefox Add-ons

I did not try the earlier versions of Sage the RSS reader for Firefox, but I downloaded Sage-Too for Firefox 3.0 RC-1 and I am very impressed with this add-on. By one click you can open your RSS feeds in the fox sidebar and just click on them and read, using it for blogging works great also, because it will search and find feeds for example the blogs you visit, just while you are reading your favorite website or news or what-ever just click the little magnifing glass emblem and presto it finds them, you can then instantly subscribe to RSS or Atom or Subscribe to the comments on that page or both if you like, if you want a lightweight feed reader that integrates with your browser this is one to look at.

Found out something else about this add-on if you are reading your feeds with Sage and you want to open them up in a new tab, click the middle mouse button, (little roller), when you click your links with this Sage will force them open in a tab.
