Here is a good one, this happened to a man in Colorado who apparently got an infection when he visited Belize this summer. The pain was unbearable according to the victim Aaron Dallas and it took the doctors a while to figure out the problem, but eventually found five bot fly larvae who had took up residence on the top of the poor guy’s head that a mosquito had put there. An after thought;
Actually I had been planning a trip, maybe a cruise to the area, but on reading this it has got me thinking and maybe I should do a little more research and see just how this is contracted and how it actually happened, from what I’ve read it seems to be caused by a mosquito but maybe this mosquito is just active certain times of the year down there? Or are they in Cancun also? It is certainly something to think about should one choose to vacation in the area.

Thanks for stopping Beth, I was thinking of going to that area but I will probably not now, not until I do some research on how this could happen. There are a lot of weird things out of the States when you travel, but this is one that would really get your goat and the doctor might not be able to find it for a while either.
